"The Workshops are very hands-on and instill great classical techniques. They put a deep understanding of the classical world and the medium of charcoal." Jacqueline
I know it’s been a while since we’ve spoke, but I felt the need to reach out to you recently. I am currently attending XXX on my way to getting a degree in art education. I’m taking a drawing class similar to your atelier, which really made me want to reach out to you. I’m struggling to preform as well as I did in your class because It’s not nearly as intense of a class. I remember being frustrated in the amount of hard work you pushed me to do but now, I’m ahead of the game and I owe that to you! You taught young kids to make drawings way better than the ones in this college level course. I hope to be like that when I get where I want to be. Thank you for helping me be the artist I am today! Keep in touch, Micki
Our purpose is to train young artists’ in the craft of drawing. This is a skills based program designed to give the student a core body of knowledge and foundational skills by the time they are eighteen years of age.
Did you know that the great artists in past centuries started studying to draw and paint at a young age? Michelangelo at age 13 apprenticed to Domenico Ghirlandaio. Mary Cassatt began studying painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia at the early age of 15. Cecelia Beaux started lessons with a relative, Catherine Ann Drinker at age 16.
