Special events include visiting master workshops students can participate in. We host a Vosler Young Artists' Studio exhibition and Open House annually.

Our students participate in special events happening in Tampa, Florida throughout the year. Several times a year our students have the opportunity to meet and interact with visiting master artists.

Grand Opening February 22, 2014

We moved from our first 300 SQ foot Studio to a 900 SQ foot studio with five beautiful North Light windows. Our students love their new spacious studio. Students friends and parents turned out help us cut the ribbon and celebrate our new expansion. Our new suite number is 207.

Advisor, Lois Griffel

Our Advisor, Lois Griffel, spent the weekend imparting wisdom about how important it is to learn to see value. She loved the school and enjoyed meeting all our students.

Bryan Gray from FOX 13, What Right

Bryan Gray from What Right with Tampa Bay, FOX 13, did two stories on our school. He spent time with Yeats Ihrig talking about his journey with us and his next trip to Italy and the Angle Academy of Arts. He interviewed me, Patricia and Owen in the second story. See link to FOX 13 here…..

Two Masters from our Advisory board, Ann Manry Kenyon & Robert Liberace stand with Emma Sims (Our Intern and kenyon's granddaughter) & Yeats Ihrig at the Portrait Society of America Conference, Reston, VA, 2014. Yeats and Emma received scholarships to the conference.

Kerry Dunn

Kerry Dunn spent the morning with some of our students before his live demonstration. Kerry received "Best of Show" for his self portrait in the 2013 Portrait Society of America International Competition. He returns in Jan of 2014 to do a workshop here.
Kerry teaches at Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia, PA.

Lunch and Learn with a new professional artist every day. Jen Bowen, attended studio Incamminati in Philadelphia, PA. She received a teaching fellowship and taught there as well. Jen talked to students about attending a adult atelier and her focus on her work today.

The last day of the workshop we had a live model session with Rolando the Pirate! Complete with adventure music and skeleton!
What a great way to test out our new skills!

Movie Set, "Murder on Frog Pond"

We had the rare opportunity to visit a Indie movie being filmed right next door to our studio at the Santaella Studios for the Arts. Students talked to producers, directors and lead camera man. They learned about being how artists create story boards behind the scenes to help the director visualize the scenes. Watch a scene on youtube below.

National Sculptor Society 80th

The Tampa Museum of Art served as the first of two venues for the 80th Annual NSS Exhibition. The NSS was founded in 1893 by a group of America's most prominent sculptors.

Our students spent the morning drawing from these beautiful sculptures.

Portrait Society of America

Yeats and Patricia worked behind the scenes and greeted over 100 guests at the Portrait Society of America's Meet and Greet at the Tampa Museum of Art in 2012.

Critiques with Judith Carducci

Judity Carducci, Master Painter, was in town teaching a portrait workshop at the Vosler Studio in 2010. She spent an hour with both Patricia and Yeats critiquing and talking to them about being an artist. Judith is the first woman appointed to the executive board of the Portrait Society of America.

Seva Anthony, Actor

Summer Workshop 2014. Seva Anthony wrote and performed a historical, "Degas's Little Dancer." She recounted her life in Paris as Degas's model. Visit Seva's Red Rose Theater at this link.
